Earlier this offseason, reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers made it abundantly clear he never wanted to suit up for the Green Bay Packers again.
After months of trade rumors, Rodgers and the Packers finally came to an agreement. The star quarterback agreed to a re-worked contract that potentially gives him an out after the 2021 season.
Oh, and one more thing. He also wanted the Packers to trade for his former teammate: wide receiver Randall Cobb. Well, the Packers obliged, but now might be facing the consequences.
It appears that Rodgers and a few of his teammates want the team to re-sign another former Packers star. He, Randall Cobb and David Bakhtiari all posted the same thing on social media: a picture of former Packers pass rusher Clay Matthews.
Check it out.

Rodgers got what he wanted the first time around when the team traded for Randall Cobb. Matthews spent 10 seasons as a member of the Packers and was named an All-Pro during the 2010 season.
While Matthews was one arguably the best player at his position, his status as one of the best has long since passed. He played for the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, but didn’t suit up for a team last season.
Will he be back on the Packers in the near future?
