Who will be the breakout players in 2025?

It’s all about growth in the NFL and as we prepare for the 2025 NFL season, here are some Las Vegas Raiders players who may be poised to take a big step forward this season.

Presented in alphabetical order:

D.J. Glaze:

The 2024 third-round pick has gotten praise from the new regime. He represented himself well as he started the final 15 games. He will likely be the start to begin the 2025 season. If he can adjust well to the new offense and even make strides, Glaze will do himself favors. The Raiders drafted tackles Caleb Rogers and Charles Grant in the third round this year. So, he may be fighting for his starting job soon. He can make a big statement for now and the future by playing well in his second season.

Jonah Laulu:

The Raiders claimed the rookie defensive tackle off of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts just before the start of the season. He got a lot of playing time as a rookie and flashed. He could get even more playing time this season and he has a chance to become a major part of the defensive front, which could be huge if Christian Wilkins’ foot issues persist.

Isaiah Pola-Mao:

The former undrafted free agent special teamer became a starter last season because of an injury to Marcus Epps. Pola-Mao was impressive enough that the new regime gave him a contract extension. He should be a starter and he has a real chance to take a big step under the guidance of head coach and secondary expert Pete Carroll. If Pola-Mao takes a big step forward that would be massive for this growing defense.

Jackson Powers-Johnson:

There is a lot of excitement because this second-season offensive lineman from Oregon. He started at both guard and center in 2024 and he’s set to be the center moving forward. The potential is huge with this player. He is a natural leader and he can become an upper-level center in the near future and a cog of the offense with tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty for the long haul.
