The New England Patriots are a bit shorthanded at practice this Wednesday, as two key members of their offense were seen leaving the field early.
According to NFL Network insider Mike Giardi, wide receiver Nelson Agholor and offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn left practice early. Wynn reportedly left practice because of the heat.
This is really unfortunate for Agholor and Wynn because the Patriots are currently battling the New York Giants in a joint practice. They’re missing important reps this Wednesday, especially now that rookie quarterback Mac Jones is under center with the first-team offense.
Hopefully, the Patriots will have Agholor and Wynn back on the field for Thursday’s practice.

Agholor was one of New England’s big signings this offseason, agreeing to a two-year deal worth up to $24 million.
Last season, Agholor had 48 receptions for 896 yards and eight touchdowns for the Las Vegas Raiders. His ability to stretch the field is something that Josh McDaniels’ offense has been missing for the past few years.
Wynn, meanwhile, is entering his fourth season with the Patriots. He’s currently listed as the team’s starting left tackle and shouldn’t have to worry about losing his spot on the depth chart.
The Patriots should have updates on Agholor and Wynn in the coming hours.
