There isn’t a current college football-based video game on the market right now. But fans of the sport could get the virtual college football experience in the newest edition of EA Sports’ Madden franchise.
Madden 22 will soon introduce “Campus Legends” to the game. It will be similar to the college installment made to the game in Madden 21, but with several new twists. The game mode will bring back certain college football legends from various teams. Better yet, you can play as them in the game mode.
Madden 22 gave a sneak peek at the game mode on Monday. In this instance, the user is playing with Clemson as quarterback Trevor Lawrence who throws a pass to Tee Higgins. Take a look.

We know Clemson and Oklahoma are two of the schools you can play with in Madden 22. What about the remaining eight?
According to Jay Peters of The Verge, the latest edition of the popular NFL-based video game will also feature: LSU, Michigan State, Florida, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, USC and Texas.
“The event, which begins Tuesday and runs until September 27th, will let you play as one of 10 schools: Clemson University, Louisiana State University, Michigan State University, University of Florida, University of Miami, University of Nebraska, University of Oklahoma, University of Oregon (UO), University of Southern California, and University of Texas,” Peters wrote. “The teams will also feature alumni as players — for example, UO graduate Justin Herbert, who is currently the quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers, will be on UO’s roster.”
Gamers got the opportunity to play as various college football programs in last year’s edition of the game. The added element of playing as various alumni is a pretty cool move.
Which team will you be playing as in Madden 22‘s “Campus Legends” this year?
