Dorofeyev was selected 79th overall during the 2019 NHL Draft and is having a nice season in the AHL. The 21-year-old winger has a line of 23-18-41 in 53 games played, and he leads the team in goals, points, and is second in overall assists. Last year was Dorofeyev’s first in the AHL, and in 24 games he tallied 9 goals, 4 assists, and 13 points in the regular season, and 2 goals in 5 playoff games for the Silver Knights.
Dorofeyev made his NHL debut on October 12, 2021 for the Golden Knights, but only skated 4:07 over the course of 5 shifts. There’s a very good chance he’ll log more ice time if he gets into a game this time around, because Vegas is at a point where many roster regulars are out of the lineup. The Golden Knights’ next game is on Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken, and between now and then we should get a better idea of where Dorofeyev will be slotted in the lineup.
