2024-25 Season Series: Devils 0-2 Jets

How to Watch:

US TV: MSGSN; NHL Network

Canada TV: TSN3

Time: 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

We open up NHL predictions with an afternoon matchup between the New Jersey Devils and the Winnipeg Jets. New Jersey is expected to go with Jacob Markstrom in this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Devils are struggling with a 3-6-1 record in their last 10 games, including three consecutive losses. Jesper Bratt leads the team in assists (24) and points (33) so far this season.

Connor Hellebuyck is the projected starter for the Jets, who stopped an 11-game losing streak by defeating the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night. However, the win is a temporary reprieve for a club that’s 1-6-3 in their previous 10 games. Winnipeg has gone from the best team in the league to being the worst this season. Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor are tied for the team’s lead in points with 52.

Both teams are struggling in recent games. However, New Jersey gets the victory in this one.

Prediction: Devils win 3-2.

Washington Capitals vs Nashville Predators

2024-25 Season Series: Capitals 2-0 Predators

How to Watch:

US TV: Monumental Sports Network; Fan Duel Sports South; ESPN+

Canada TV: SN 360

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Our second game of NHL predictions is the first meeting of the season for the Washington Capitals and the Nashville Predators. Logan Thompson is expected to get the start in the crease for Washington, which is 4-4-2 in its last 10 games. However, the Caps did beat the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night. Tom Wilson leads the team in goals (22) and points (42) so far this season.

Nashville is projected to go with Justus Annunen in goal for this game. The Predators are 6-4 in their previous 10 games but did lose to the Blackhawks on Saturday night. Steven Stamkos leads the team in goals, but Ryan O’Reilly is first on the team in points with 37.

The Predators have been playing better. However, the Capitals should get the road win.

Prediction: Capitals win 4-2.

Vegas Golden Knights vs San Jose Sharks

Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 3-0 Sharks

How to Watch:

US TV: Scripps Vegas; NBC Sports California; NHL Network

Canada TV: Sportsnet; TVA Sports

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

We wrap this edition of NHL predictions with a featured matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks. Vegas is expected to go with Carl Lindbom in goal after Akira Schmid played on Saturday night. The Golden Knights are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games but have taken the last three games entering this Pacific Division matchup. Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner are for the team lead in points with 46.

San Jose is likely to turn Yaroslav Askarov after the Sharks started Alex Nedeljkovic in the comeback victory over the Dallas Stars. The Sharks are 6-4 in their last 10 games, including three consecutive games. San Jose has really took a step forward this season and are in the mix for a Stanley Cup Playoff spot. Macklin Celebrini is making his care for the Hart Trophy with 24 goals and 46 assists for 70 points.

Both teams are coming off victories on Saturday night. However, the Sharks finally get the win.

Prediction: Sharks win 5-3.

Prop Bets of the Night

We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s stick with our featured game for our favourite props. The over/under for the Sharks versus the Golden Knights is 6.5, and we like the over in this game.

As for individual props, go with Marner to get a power-play point for Vegas. On the San Jose side of things, take Tyler Toffoli to get an anytime goal.
