This season has been a trying one for the Vegas Golden Knights, especially for forward Max Pacioretty who will remain out of the lineup for the foreseeable future.

Pacioretty had been day-to-day since March 13, was added to injured reserve on March 20, and it was the latest update to a season in which the Golden Knights’ winger has been plagued with injuries. He’s missed the last 7 games in a row, and played 9:17 in his last game on March 11 vs. the Penguins. We now know he suffered a setback in practice, and that’s going to sideline him even longer.

Pacioretty’s initial injury woes started when he broke his foot in October, and he ultimately missed 17 games before returning in November. Shortly after his return he suffered an injury to his wrist which required surgery, and he was once again sidelined for 10 more games.

Pacioretty had a surprisingly quick recovery from surgery and re-joined the team at the end of January, but a month later he once again got hurt and missed a stretch of 4 games due to a lower-body injury. In 29 games this season Pacioretty has a line of 15-14-19, and the bulk of his production came in the month of December.

January saw Pacioretty appear in 2 games, February he played in 7 games, and this month he’s appeared in 4. Overall he’s missed 38 games, and there’s no timetable on when he’ll be back in action with Vegas.
