In addition, they moved Daniil Miromanov to IR, and have called up Michael Hutchinson.

Adin Hill took a bump the other night, and this transaction seems like a precautionary one in the event they wanna give him the next game off and have Hutchinson backup Laurent Brossoit.
Bruce Cassidy said Adin Hill had “a little bump” in Saturday’s game, which is why he didn’t practice today.
He said the plan has been to start Laurent Brossoit tomorrow in Chicago, so it kind of works out well on the timing.

As a result of this transactions, the team now sits with $8,754,166 in available space, which can be utilized for the remainder of the season. If they eat into this number by making some moves at the deadline, that would effectively mean Stone is going to miss the rest of the regular season.
This isn’t exactly anything new for Vegas, and the move of Stone to LTIR also gives the team a chance to add some reinforcements so they aren’t shorthanded in the event Stone is still unable to play once the playoffs start.
Many of the big pieces are already off the board, but now the team is in a position where they can do something if the opportunity arises. I don’t think we are going to see Timo Meier traded within the division, but with Stone now on LTIR, GM Kelly McCrimmon has options.
