What to watch for: UNLV vs. Sam Houston
Quarterbacks: How will the Rebels continue to use their two quarterbacks, #10 Anthony Colandrea, who transferred from the University of Virginia, and #1 Alex Orji, who transferred from the University of Michigan? Both were effective in the Rebels’ opening win over Idaho State.
Defense, Defense, Defense: The Rebels’ defense came up with timely interceptions, but gave up too many yards and points to Idaho State. 8 News Now Sports Reporter Ron Futrell said they may need to tighten up their defense moving forward.
First On-The-Road Game: This will be the first time that head coach Dan Mullen has taken a UNLV football game on the road, and this experience at Sam Houston could be much different than playing in the “friendly confines” of Allegiant Stadium.
